A Day of Many Aspects

Friday, 13th is sometimes thought of as unlucky, but I think this occasion will be a very interesting and potentially lovely one.
For those of you who like the astrological jargon, the Sun in Capricorn is trine Mars in Virgo (4.46am), Venus in Aquarius is trine Saturn in Libra (9.05 am) Mercury is conjunct Pluto in Capricorn (13.03), and Venus is conjunct Neptune in Aquarius (15.17).
Universal love of the highest kind is signified by the Venus/Neptune aspect. In Aquarius, the emphasis is on humanitarian love, compassion for all our fellow human beings. It is a day to see the best in people, to notice what we have in common rather than things that divide.
Venus/Neptune taken on its own is the most romantic combination (maybe it should be Valentine’s Day today), and the trine to Saturn indicates an enduring relationship, less likely to become enmeshed in fantasy, realizing that a good relationship needs mutual trust and support, and self-acceptance of all kinds of foibles, on both sides.
Mercury conjunct Pluto works on another level. It is an aspect concerned with deep and powerful thought. Ideas need to have some measure of profoundness, and need to be communicated with subtlety rather than the sledge-hammer approach. It could be that things you have wondered about, that were previously unknown, come to light around the time of this aspect.
Lastly, the Sun/Mars combination in the Earth element adds a warm, energetic flavour to the mix, reminding me of a comforting bowlful of root vegetables enlivened with some chilli. Practicality is to the fore with this one, and combined with the ethereal yet compassionate quality of Venus/Neptune, today could work out well on many levels.
Have a good one!
