Getting things done

The main feature of the starry skies this week is the Mars/Jupiter/Pluto grand trine in Earth signs. I mentioned this last week. This combination symbolizes a strong, dynamic, practical driving force, and if the energy is tapped into, much progress can be made. It is positive for projects, new ways of looking at and transforming old problems, making headway with new ideas so they have more chance of manifesting. Planning and practical solutions, and attention to detail are key to moving forwards.

As always when Jupiter is involved, even with the flowing aspects, the danger is to over-expand, or be too grandiose, so it is a good idea to clarify your limits. Mars and Pluto can also be overly boisterous and pushy. You may notice some people (possible earth signs) seem to have more energy than usual, and may want to assert themselves strongly.

Overall though, this is a positive combination, especially if channelled in a direction which needs a result of some kind. Mars trines Jupiter exactly on Wednesday, 16th. It is a great day for business meeetings, and also for just getting things done, in an enthusiastic and optimistic fashion.

Apart from the lunar aspects, this is the only planetary aspect happening this week, which is highly unusual.

The weekend begins with the Moon in Gemini. With Mercury and Venus in Sagittarius opposing the Moon on Saturday, there is likely to be much coming and going, lively conversations, and a feeling of being pulled in many directions, some of which you may definitely not want to go in.

Sunday is calmer, with a Moon/Saturn trine. This is Remembrance Sunday, a day to reflect and remember, but also be thankful for what we have. On a practical level, this is also a good day to make lists, plan Christmas, and delegate tasks so that no-one feels they are doing all the hard graft, and having none of the fun.

The Moon moves into her own sign, Cancer, on Monday (7.19 GMT). Domestic matters may predominate, unexpected happenings occur, and tensions may erupt by the time of the Moon/Pluto opposition (18.26 GMT). It is a good time to let off steam, and reveal any feelings you have been keeping quiet about, just try to do it in a non-threatening way.

There are not even any lunar aspects on Tuesday and Thursday.

On Wednesday, 16th, the Moon moves into Leo, so a bit of spark and show are added to any proceedings. If you are the creative kind, this is highlighted for the next couple of days. Be colourful, and spread some warmth to those around you.

Just before the weekend begins (Friday evening for many), the Moon shimmies into Virgo (22.19). Friday is a mixed bag as far as the aspects go – very promising in the early hours, then changing to a bit of edginess around 15.09, and then the inclination to become very dreamy, indulge in escapism, and/or become possibly confused around 19.05, when the Moon opposes Neptune. It would be very easy to have that extra glass of wine now, and then regret it on Saturday morning. It is your choice.
