Merry Christmas to all of you! I hope the day is full of festive cheer, sparkle and warmth, and that the Christmas Fairy waves her magic wand and grants you your dearest wishes.
A Leo Moon presides over the day until 15.14, signifying much fun, dressing up time, and maybe a bit of drama. An opposition from the Moon to Neptune, at 9.28am GMT, suggests some will have decided to get the champagne/wine/Stella flowing early, while others will have taken a moment to connect with others, remembering Christmas' past, reviving fond memories, and thinking of those who aren't physically present but are there in spirit. It's also a time to think of those less fortunate, and send them some blessings (and to count your own).
There's a harmonious link between the Capricorn Sun and the Virgo Moon later in the day, both earthy, practical signs, so the clearing up should be easy, and a gentle, flowing vibe fill the airwaves.
A creative element pervades Boxing Day (26th December): Mars and Venus both connect benignly with the Moon, making this a good day for any practical, creative play (get the crayons/air fix kits/modelling clay out), and also relationships. There's an ability to express emotions with strength but not aggression, so if something has been on your mind, this is the time to say it, because the overall desire for peace and love will enable the words to emerge in the right way.
Change is in the air on the 27th December. The Sun/Pluto conjunction is a powerful one; transformation of a deep kind will unfold for anyone born on or around this day, although it may take months or years for the changes to wholly register (I had this transit when I gave birth to my first child). Identity alters: either inner or outer events shift the way one sees oneself. Sometimes a new, formerly unknown or hidden aspect emerges, adding another, interesting layer to the person.
For the rest of us, it's a day to note what changes we'd like to make, to note what, or who does seem to have passed out of our lives this year, and to set intentions for what we'd like to come in. Sometimes, something that has been a secret or hidden comes to light under this aspect; sometimes people with 'power' seem to be throwing their weight about more than usual.
Monday is also a day to do something different, to push the boundaries in some way. After the previous harmony and flow of the last couple of days, this one is more 'edgy', as is Tuesday 28th.
The Moon enters Libra on Monday at 17.38 GMT, aiming for balance and fairness, but other factors conspire against this. It could just be that it's time to break up the cosiness for a while and do your own thing for a couple of days – each to his or her own. At least try and have some 'me' time, even if it's only half an hour, and allow others to have theirs.
A challenging aspect between Mars and Saturn on Wednesday 29th signifies that some tasks will be much harder to accomplish than usual, that extra care and perseverance will be needed before success is reached. However, if you can do this the feeling of achievement will be great, and well-deserved. It can be a time to re-define boundaries, setting out what is acceptable and what is not, especially in terms of how to manage in difficult circumstances.
The energies ease after the Moon's dance into Scorpio (Wednesday,29th 20.49 GMT), a sign which is compatible with the Capricorn Sun. The harmonious vibe of Christmas weekend returns, and as an added gift, Mercury, planet of communication, begins to move forwards again, on Thursday 30th (7.22 GMT).
If you're thinking of bargain hunting in the sales this week, Thursday and Friday look much more auspicious than Monday and Tuesday. On Monday you're likely to spend far too much, and buy things you normally wouldn't look at (Moon opposite Jupiter and Uranus), and on Tuesday, other shoppers and/or assistants could be difficult and even belligerent (Moon square Pluto, Sun and Mars). If you don't like shopping you may be able to apply some of this to family members!
On Thursday, the Moon blends harmoniously with Pluto and the Sun, smoothing any previously ruffled feathers.
The last day of 2010 has lovely benign connections between the Moon and Mars, Jupiter and Uranus, topped off with beautiful Moon/Venus conjunction in passionate Scorpio. Only Neptune squares the Moon, suggesting a bit of confusion, but the overall tone is a positive, loving one, with the possibility of surprises and excitement of the best kind. Enjoy!!
