Full Moon in Aries

In the early hours of Saturday, a full moon glows in the sky, signifying the culmination of a cycle, and a time for change. This is the second full moon in Aries in a month (sometimes known as a 'blue moon'), so it may be that it feels like the culmination of a two month cycle rather than one.
Easy aspects from the Sun and Moon to Neptune, Chiron and Pluto symbolize comfortable transitions from one state to another, whether this is connected to a relationship, an attitude of mind, a project, or general circumstances.
If you have been feeling a change in some area is overdue, acknowledge your hunches and take a leap, preferably early in the day, or the few days before, because the tone is about to feel different.
Almost immediately the Moon changes signs into Taurus, a calmer, more solid sign than fiery Aries, and later the same day, the Sun slides from airy Libra to watery, passionate Scorpio.
The solar energy for the next month is deeper; things may feel more intense generally, but also easier to clarify. Scorpio likes to see many layers to any situation, and like a well-wrapped up tourist in the Arctic Circle, it takes time to remove them all to see what lies next to the skin. Scorpio can give the impression of being quite aloof and self-sufficient, but it is a water sign, and it has an extremely sensitive and usually deeply caring side, which responds rapidly to love.
Speaking of love, Venus, the planet associated with this many-splendoured emotion, which is said to make the world go round, is giving the appearance of travelling backwards until the 18th November. In astrological jargon, it's said to be 'retrograde', meaning that affairs of the heart may not run as smoothly as usual, unless you happen to re-united with a former loved one, in which case it can mean full steam ahead.
Venus is also connected with finances; money matters may need investigating to see how most can be made of resources. It's also a really good time to look at what you really value – put aside instant gratification, superficiality, and the 'I need more' attitude (I'm thinking materialism in general here – shopping for the latest gizmo or handbag, to wanting a higher and higher salary), and think about what really counts – true love, good friends, a supportive family, a fabulous sunset with a flock of birds flying through for the extra fleeting 'wow' factor, a genuine smile from a stranger. The list is endless.
Spend a moment being thankful for all the things in your life which aren't connected to money, and you'll probably feel super-rich.
On Sunday, Mars trines Uranus, making this a good time to do something different, or to do the same thing, but in a different way. Uranus likes to experiment, to shake things up so that creative solutions to challenges can emerge. If Mars was a character, Action Man would fit the bill. The easy Mars/Uranus combination helps the associated energy to be expressed in a harmonious rather than aggressive way.
A lighter vibe permeates Monday (form 12.47 BST), Tuesday and Wednesday (until 20.14 BST), because the Moon is travelling through Gemini, a sign that loves to chat, disseminate the latest, and then, like a bee buzzing from one nectar feast to the next, move on.
Mercury metaphorically briefly links hands with Venus on Monday too, making this a beneficial time to exchange pleasantries, or express those deeper feelings you've been bottling up. Now is the time to let them out, as people are generally in a warmly receptive mode.
Domestic matters could predominate for the rest of the week: the Moon moves into Cancer, another sign belonging to the water element, where feelings take precedence over rationality. The best decisions can be guided by the question 'Does it feel right?' rather than logically trying to work out pros and cons.
Mars, the 'Action Man' planet moves from Scorpio into Sagittarius on Friday, 29th. This is the sign of the explorer, mentally and/or physically. There is more urgency to express desires, to be open, and to move beyond current horizons. If there is some kind of journey, sport, or cause you have been wanting to begin, now is a good time to take those first steps (or at least get the map, boots or banner out).
All times are BST (British Summer Time), which is one hour ahead of GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
