New Moon in Gemini - Bright Ideas
Posted on 02 Jun 2008 at 08:06.

Forecast for 3rd - 8th June 2008
An inspirational new moon shines in the night sky on 3rd June (20.23 BST). The sun and the moon are passing through the mutable, air sign of Gemini, a sign that loves to communicate, share ideas, be light and fanciful. There's a touch of the ethereal from Neptune, planet of otherworldliness, the imagination and intuition, which connects harmoniously with the Sun, Moon, Mercury (retrograde) and Venus, all together in Gemini. Inspiration can come easily now, if the ego takes a back seat, and lets the higher self take the wheel.
As Gemini is the sign of communication, this is a great time to write down any bright ideas that pop into your head, note any hunches, however way- out they seem, and talk to loved ones, friends and colleagues about how you're feeling. It is a time of sharing, and taking down barriers, noticing the similarities, rather than the differences between you and others.
Mercury retrograde can make communications meander rather than follow a straight line (it took me an hour to reach Wells, Somerset last week, because of a road closed, and other road works, instead of the usual 20 minutes), but the trick is to leave plenty of time before any appointments, and enjoy the changes of scene the diversions bring.
Of course, communication unfolds on many different levels, and subtle nuances and body language may provide clues to what someone is really saying to you.
Mars, currently travelling through Leo. favourably sextiles this new moon too, adding a fiery zestiness, enthusiasm and energy, to actually materializing some of the new ideas that may emerge.
Venus sextiles Mars on Friday 6th, a lovely combination that is creative, sexy, and embodies the feminine and masculine dancing together in a warm embrace. Here feelings, attraction and desire all intertwine harmoniously.
On Saturday 7th , there's a meeting of the Sun, Mercury (still retro), and Venus, shining more light on to ideas germinated at the new moon, combining the head, heart and mind. It often takes the two weeks after the new moon for any new beginnings to become clear, when the moon has culminated in a full moon.
It's potentially a very creative and harmonious week, and one where steps can be taken to manifest new dreams, especially those that help others, as well as encouraging growth on a soul level. Enjoy!

East Lambrook Manor in May
Posted on 14 May 2008 at 07:05.
I am privileged to be a student at East Lambrook Manor, and today the garden looked so beautiful, a plethora of spring flowers, aquilegias in abundance, blues, purples, pinks, with a dash of yellow and orange escholtzia, set off against lush lime green of euphorbias and fresh, new leaves of almost everything. However,I loved the photos of the iris most, so am sharing these with you. BTW Iris was konwn as the Goddess of the Rainbow in Greek mythology - hope you can see why.

More garden stuff and astrology coming soon...........

A New Chapter
Posted on 21 Jan 2008 at 08:01.

Since the New Moon in January, I haven't managed to fix my old email system so please email me if you'd like to stay in touch, and haven't written since 2nd January 2008. I cannot access any emails before this date. (It's the universe's way of de-cluttering my email address book). However, I have managed to get myself a new job, so am putting the column 'on hold' for the time being, for practical reasons.
The photos are of one of my favourite places on the planet - Looe, Cornwall, England.
